The danger: LLMs and quantitative models are extremely good at normal science and extremely bad at recognizing when a paradigm shift has occurred. They keep solving problems within the old framework while the market has moved on.

When AI trains on AI-generated content, quality degrades across generations. The model starts amplifying its own errors and losing the tails of the distribution.
